Each member of our qualified staff is dedicated to helping you improve your health and well being by healing your chronic pain.

Anistasia is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified Healing Touch practitioner. As a clinical assistant, she assists Dr. Blatman and is the chief technician for Medical Infrared Imaging and Photonic Stimulation Treatments. Additionally, Anistasia serves as Workers' Compensation Coordinator, ensuring that all Bureau of Worker’s Compensation paperwork is completed and treatment is authorized.

Lois is a Licensed Massage Therapist who’s been assisting Dr. Blatman with patient care for nearly a decade. She’ll often greet you in the waiting room, assess your situation and complete treatments as prescribed by the doctor. Additionally, Lois handles routine prescription refills and disability forms.

Mary is a graduate of the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage and was licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board in 2000. She went on to further her studies with renown acupuncturists, energy workers, metaphysicians, and also studied ayurvedic medicine. Mary is a Reiki Master and a Certified Reflexologist. Mary's massages are designed to work with the muscles, bones, organs, and inner peace. She uses her intuitive abilities to customize medical massage, energy, and reflexology to customize every massage to each person's needs.

Linda greets you when you call on the phone and handles appointment scheduling. If you need to see Dr. Blatman on an emergency basis, she’ll get you the soonest possible appointment and is happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about the office.
 
Misty is the Patient Account Coordinator handling bookkeeping and billing. She’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have about insurance coverage or our financial policies. She can help coordinate your billing concerns with treatment options so that medical care can fit your budget.

Terri is Dr. Blatman’s Executive Assistant. She’s responsible for keeping the office operating efficiently, so that your experience as our patient is pleasant and productive. She the principle coordinator for conferences and workshops sponsored by the Blatman Pain Clinic.

Associates

Guanhu Yang, M.S, Ph.D.
Guanhu Yang brings a high quality of expertise in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He was trained at Zhejiang Traditional Medical College and Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medical University in China. He received his MD degree in 1985 and MS degree in 1988. Guanhu Yang’s training included both modern western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Upon graduation, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wenzhou, P.R. of China. While there, he engaged in both high quality research and clinical work in traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbology).

In 1993, Guanhu Yang joined the staff of Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University of Japan and worked on the research of diabetes. From there he went to the Kanazawa Medical University of Japan and completed his Ph.D. degree in lung injury and repair. During that time, he also practiced Chinese Medicine and acupuncture as chief acupuncturist at Fujinoki Hospital and Sakurai Hospital in Japan. After completion of his Ph.D., Guanhu Yang decided to continue his research in pulmonary biology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He has been doing his research at Children’s Hospital since 1999. He has been certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and he was recently certified by the Ohio State Medical Board as an Acupuncturist. Since his achievement of certification, Guanhu Yang has joined the Blatman Pain Clinic to practice acupuncture.

Guanhu Yang is expert at treating many chronic disorders including:

  • pain (migraine headaches, neck and back pain, whiplash injuries, arthritis, abdominal pain, frozen shoulder, and painful menses)
  • stress release (depression, anxiety, insomnia, anorexia, and chronic fatigue syndrome)
  • neurological disorders (stroke recovery, deafness, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, enuresis, and facial paresis)

Guanhu Yang also has experience in treating impotency.

Judy M. Schwartz, Ph.D.
Judy M. Schwartz, Ph.D. is a psychologist with extensive experience in health psychology and rehabilitation after head injury or trauma. She is dedicated to natural, holistic approaches and compassionate, comprehensive care. Dr. Schwartz works with people who have injuries to the brain or brain dysfunction and have difficulty recovering thinking and functioning skills as well as people who have health problems such as CFIDS and fibromyalgia. She also works with people who experience emotional traumas, lifestyle distress, chronic pain, and those who want to enhance their skill performance. In addition to counseling, she is experienced in innovative therapies such as EEG Biofeedback, Thought Field Therapy, EMDR, and hypnosis.
